GREG IRWIN
IRWIN ARCHITECTURAL GROUP
Irwin Architectural Group was founded in 1966 by Carl Irwin to provide architectural services for a variety of product types. In 1970 Carl was introduced to senior housing when he joined the Board of Directors of Southland Lutheran Home in Norwalk. By 1985, the firm’s focus had shifted exclusively to the design of senior care environments and church development. In 1990 the firm expanded its services by establishing a presence in Seattle, Washington, where it has continually provided services for Josephine Sunset Home. In 2005 a complete office was established to provide the focus and dedication to the senior housing market that was established by the firm in 1985. In 2010 to improve and expand services, the firm established an association with Pi Architects in Austin, Texas. The association with Pi allows IPA to offer extensive senior housing experience and services to existing and future clients with a local presence in three major markets. With locations in Orange County, Seattle and Austin, the firm is situated to provide convenient services to the west coast. This association also allows us to provide interior and landscape services for those clients who would prefer to have services provided through one company. In the firm’s 45 year history, it has been involved with over 1,200 senior housing projects that range from 55+ housing to skilled nursing. The services have included master planning, remodeling, additions, code compliance and general architectural services. Together with our clients we have received numerous awards and recognition for the innovation and creativity of these projects. Because of these projects, we have maintained a consistent work load that has allowed us to work on as many as 75 projects in one year.
